Tribe’s EOC Reports One New COVID-19 Case: 9 Total Active

AKWESASNE — The Saint Regis Mohawk Tribe’s Emergency Operations Center (EOC) is reporting one (1) new case of COVID-19 today, making nine (9) total active cases under the Tribe’s jurisdiction. Three (3) of our relatives have resolved and ten (10) of our family and friends remain in quarantine. One (1) of our relatives has been discharged from the hospital however, one still remains hospitalized due to symptoms that developed after being released from quarantine. We ask everyone to please continue being safe, kind, and understanding of those still dealing with the virus.

The number of cases is slowly improving, but we ask everyone to please help prevent any further spread of the virus by avoiding uncontrolled gatherings this coming weekend. Please watch the Daytona 500 at home and follow all the protective measures that were developed to keep us all safe: Wear your mask in public places. Stay at least six (6) feet apart from others. Wash your hands often for at least 20 seconds.
