AKWESASNE — The Saint Regis Mohawk Tribe’s Emergency Operations Center and Health Services reported three (3) new cases of COVID-19 this afternoon in Akwesasne’s southern portion. One (1) community member has been released from isolation, but there remains thirteen (13) total active cases under the Tribe’s jurisdiction. Unfortunately, one (1) additional resident was hospitalized due to severe complications -- making four (4) individuals currently under hospital care. We offer them our warmest thoughts and heartfelt prayers for a safe recovery.
Through contact tracing, the number of community members in quarantine has increased to 46, an increase of 14 individuals in one day and 40 since November 10th.
