St. Regis Mohawk School PTO Receives Room Occupancy Fee Donation

On Onerahtókha/April 4, 2017, the Saint Regis Mohawk Tribal Council donated $20,000 from the Tribe’s Room Occupancy Fee Fund to support the St. Regis Mohawk School’s Parent-Teacher Organization. The organization was formed in January 2009 to enhance and oversee the partnership between the local elementary school and Akwesasne families in the education of Mohawk students. The donation will support PTO-sponsored activities with the goal of increasing parent involvement and strengthening the connection between family, school and community.
