AKWESASNE — The Saint Regis Mohawk Tribe’s Emergency Operations Center and Health Services reported six (6) new cases of COVID-19 over the weekend -- making 21 total active cases in Akwesasne’s southern portion. Five (5) individuals have resolved and there is no update on the number of family members and friends who are or will need to quarantine at home. Individuals are cooperating with our contact tracers, who are working tirelessly to notify others of potential exposures. As of Friday, September 10th, there were 16 community members quarantining at home to prevent any further spread. We ask that they please stay at home until released by public health and wish them all a safe recovery.
