October 2021 Tribal Monthly Meeting Registration Now Open

AKWESASNE — The Saint Regis Mohawk Tribal Council announced that registration is now open for the October 2021 Tribal Monthly Meeting. The registration process allows the Tribal Clerk to verify tribal enrollment, as monthly tribal meetings are intended for membership only.

The next tribal meeting is being chaired by Tribal Chief Michael Conners and will be held on Saturday, Kenténha/October 2, 2021 beginning at 10:00 a.m. It will be a hybrid meeting that allows tribal members to attend virtually or in-person in the Akwesasne Mohawk Casino Resort Ballroom.

The October Tribal Monthly Meeting will include a one-hour discussion for New Business; followed by a COVID-19 update from the Tribe’s Emergency Operations Center and Health Services; and presentations on the American Rescue Plan Act and economic recovery support being provided to businesses, tribal members, and elders. There will also be an update from the Tribal Election Board.

Tribal members who attend in-person must wear a mask and practice social distancing, while those who participate virtually must complete registration BEFORE 4:00 p.m. on October 1st. To participate virtually, please register in advance by clicking the following link: https://bit.ly/3ASHEHm.

Tribal members can submit questions or comments for the October Tribal Monthly Meeting during the registration process or by emailing them to meetings@srmt-nsn.gov. All questions will be posed and answered in the order that they are received.

The monthly tribal meeting agenda package and presentations will be available on the Tribal Members Portal prior to the meeting, which is accessible at www.srmt-nsn.gov. For assistance accessing the Portal, please contact the Tribe’s Communications Department at (518) 358-2272.
