The Environment Division had the pleasure of sharing their work developing a resilient ecosystem with journalists from the Craig Newmark Graduate School of Journalism at CUNY on October 30, 2019. This was the second visit to Akwesasne by their Resilience Journalism Fellowship Program and included journalists and photographers from The New York Times, Globe and Mail, USA Today, and more. Presentations were provided by Environment Director Tony David (pictured) and Akwesasne Cultural Restoration Program Coordinator Amberdawn Lafrance. Ioianare Tony and Amberdawn! We look forward to hosting them again next spring, as we continue to share the Tribe’s effort to make our environment more sustainable and resilient to climate change and other environmental challenges.
