Community members will be seeing white broadband construction trucks with lift buckets, working to prepare equipment and poles to string fiber optic cable. Their current preparation work involves marking poles and setting anchors -- metal rods in the ground for guy wire attachments. This is to prepare the equipment for stringing the cable which will eventually make high-speed internet available to every business and household in Akwesasne. The next phase of the project will be the actual stringing of the cable on the poles.
