Tribal EOC Reports 2 New COVID-19 Cases: 4 Total Active

AKWESASNE — The Saint Regis Mohawk Tribe’s Emergency Operations Center and Health Services reported two (2) new positive cases of COVID-19 -- making four (4) total active cases in Akwesasne’s southern portion. The active cases include one (1) young community member under the age of 5 and three (3) individuals over the age of 18. The low case number is encouraging, but please continue to take personal measures to keep yourself safe, which includes wearing a mask in all public places under the Tribe’s jurisdiction and getting your COVID-19 Booster Shot.

With 71.4% of eligible residents vaccinated and fewer numbers at the weekly vaccine clinic, Health Services will be relocating the Wednesday vaccine clinic to their main building at 404 State Route 37. Beginning on Wednesday, March 2nd individuals ages 5-years old or more can receive a COVID-19 vaccine between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. No appointment is needed.

On Friday, February 25th all tribal offices will be closed, including Health Services, so there will be no vaccination clinic.
