The Saint Regis Mohawk Tribe, Oneida Indian Nation and Seneca Nation of Indians participated in the New York State Standing Committee on State-Native American Relations Roundtable on Ohiarí:ha/June 6, 2019, which was the committee’s first convening in 8 years. It was an opportunity to discuss issues of commonality and uniqueness with the State, as well as steps towards addressing pressing concerns. In the coming months, the Senate Standing Committee will visit each Native community to continue discussions.
