The Office of Economic Development’s responsibility is to establish economic growth in Akwesasne through entrepreneurship and business development.   The office provides training and technical support to new and existing businesses within the boundaries of Akwesasne.  In 2009 a new Akwesasne revolving loan fund will be introduced, which can provide loans to businesses located on the U.S. portion of the reservation.

The Akwesasne Employment Resource Center is a new center for job seekers and employers. The St. Regis Mohawk Tribe, Mohawk Council of Akwesasne and Akwesasne Area Management Board are partnering to provide support for prospective employees and employers to "Connect to the World Of Work".
